AKIRA COLLECTOR’S SET

Akira is an iconic manga that has greatly influenced sci-fi design and inspired many creators to embark on their artistic journeys. As a passionate fan, I created a manga collector's set based on the series. I also designed a responsive wordmark that reflects the transformation of the character Tetsuo. The wordmark progressively becomes more grotesque as the series unfolds, mirroring both the physical and mental changes that Tetsuo undergoes throughout the story.

I also created book covers that transition from red to black, symbolizing the dark and intense themes that the series explores. When the spines of the books are aligned, the iconic pill emblem a key symbol in the series' iconography becomes visible. This transition adds a layer of depth to the collector's set that will spark the imagination of any Akira fan.
